Fully automated MCB knob laser marking machine for “ON/OFF” indicators. Vibration bowl feeding, 60‑80 pcs/min, 99.9% yield, zero consumables, fiber laser, permanent marking. Replaces pad printing – saves 90% on consumables, 3‑5× faster, no fading. Ideal for high‑volume MCB handle marking. IEC compliant.
Fully Automated MCB Knob Laser Marking Machine
The MCB knob laser marking machine is an automated marking machine specifically for Miniature Circuit Breaker handles (toggles). It overcomes the disadvantages of the old-fashioned method of printing with an ink pad – such as fading, high-cost consumable items, and environmental pollution. With an automatic vibration bowl feeding system and high-speed, high-performance fiber laser to provide clear and durable “ON/OFF” indicators or logos etched at very fast rates, this is the best way to upgrade production lines of MCBs.
The automatic feeding system of the machine can be customized with a vibratory bowl feeder and a cam indexer or rotary table. Production speeds of up to 60-80 per minute at a yield rate of 99.9%. The laser etched marks are high quality, permanent and meet IEC labeling standards regarding durability against heat, chemicals and fading. No consumables or low cost operation due to no ink, solvents or printing plate being used and thus will create a cleaner production environment. The Human Machine Interface (HMI) provides a user-friendly touch screen interface for easy parameter changeover between different handle styles.
Standard delivery: 30-45 days | Zero consumables | 99.9% yield rate
What Problems Does This Machine Solve?
Pad Printing on MCB Handles has three main problems. 1) Markings fading due to wear over time or through exposure to chemicals. 2) High cost of supplies such as ink, solvent and printing plates. 3) Slow manual loading of handles into the printing fixture (produces an unproductive work flow). The Fully Automated Laser Marking Machine solves all three of those problems. 1) The marking is done with a fiber laser and the marking will not fade. 2) There are no supplies used during the marking process which means the operating cost is reduced by more than 90% when compared to pad printing. 3) An automatic vibration bowl feeder feeds the handles to the laser marking unit automatically, eliminating the manual loading of handles into the printing fixture, therefore producing throughput that is 3 to 5 times greater than pad printing. The resultant effect is a Cleaner, Faster, and More Cost Effective Marking solution, compliant with IEC durability standards.
By use of a customized vibration bowl sorter, the automated alignment and feeding of handle wire to marking stations has been accomplished, saving up to 80% in labour costs.
A fiber laser makes tough “ON/OFF” markings which are resistant to heat, corrosion and wear from repeated use, while being accordance with the IEC standard.
Precision cam indexer + high‑speed galvanometer: 60‑80 pcs/min, 99.9% yield rate.
No ink, solvents, or printing plates – low operating cost, clean production environment.

Core Customer Benefits – Why Manufacturers Switch from Pad Printing
Benefit 1: 90% lower consumable cost
Ink, solvent, printing plates, and cleaning supplies are needed for pad printing. They can cost a company thousands of dollars per year. Laser marking uses no consumables at all; the only expense is electricity (cost is negligible). A typical factory that produces 1 million handles per year will save over $15,000 per year in consumables.
Benefit 2: 3‑5× higher throughput
Handheld pad printing yields an estimated production rate of 15 to 20 handles/min. Automated laser marking systems have an estimated production output of 60 – 80 handles/min. This rate of production allows customers to accommodate peak demand without incurring the costs of staffing extra shifts or hiring additional operators. The total cost-to-purchase of the unit will be covered within 6 to 9 months simply based on savings generated from the reduction in labor.
Benefit 3: No fading – eliminates customer complaints
Pad printing for “ON/OFF” labels frequently fade away after many months of usage and/or after exposure to any form of chemical. However, laser etching creates engravings that will last forever because they cannot be machine erased as well as withstand heat, liquids, and chemicals used in cleaning. This results in fewer warranty claims against your product while enhancing the reputation of your brand.
Benefit 4: Clean & safe operation
When working with pad prints, volatile solvents and ink mists require good ventilation and PPE. Laser marking is dry, does not produce fumes (although there is the option of using an external fume extractor), and is totally enclosed. Class 1 laser safety housing protects the operator from laser exposure; therefore, it also meets all international safety standards.
Customer Success – Replacing Pad Printing with Laser Marking
An MCB maker was employing pad printed “ON/OFF” markings on two million handles yearly at an annual cost of $18000 for consumables. This required two operators per shift for the pad print operation. After the switch to the fully automated laser marker:
The machine paid for itself in 8 months and improved the production line’s environmental footprint.

الأسئلة الشائعة
Pad Printing uses an ink and silicone pad to transfer an image, and the ink will fade with time. In Pad printing inks, solvents are used and the plates need to be changed regularly.
Fiber Laser Marking will etch into the materials surface to create a long lasting, high contrast mark that is heat and abrasion resistant. Ther is no consumables with Laser, and the laser is faster and does not produce hazardous waste.
After the operator has loaded the, bowl with the parts to be printed, the machine fully runs itself automatically. The machine allows the operator to load the bowl with parts and run multiple printing machines at one time. An operator can experience average labor savings from 70 – 80% versus manually pad printing.
The fiber laser creates a mark on the workpiece through the alteration of either surface texture or color. Marks will typically have a light grey/white contrasting appearance when marking the surface of a dark plastic handle (e.g. black, grey). When marking light plastic handles, the mark will appear darker in color than the handle itself. We are able to conduct a sample test to confirm the contrast of the marking on your handles.
The changeover time for changing from one set of bowls to another, which requires bowl tooling that allows for rapid changes as well as setting the laser parameters based on a recipe, is around 10-15 minutes. The changeover process involves swapping the tooling (bowl orientation tool), moving/adjusting the indexer nest, and choosing the appropriate marking file on the HMI.
Correct. The laser is contained within an enclosed housing that has been classified as Laser Class1. The laser will not function if the door is open. If the laser enclosure is opened, the interlock will immediately turn off the laser. Regular laser safety glasses are not required when using the laser in its normal environment.
